The Chinese giant does not stop.
Tencent has opened a new studio focused on AAA games in Canada, which is called TiMi Montreal. This studio joins TiMi Seattle and TiMi Los Angeles. TiMi is the origin of successful mobile titles such as Call of Duty: Mobile, Honor of Kings, and Pokémon Unite.
This new Canadian studio was tasked with creating and developing an original open world franchise with live service elements. The mystery project is in development for PC and console platforms, and according to global game development chief Timi, Vincent Gao, Sara “large enough to hold rich content and allow player exploration“.
“The Montreal team is still in its infancy and we are delighted to work alongside renowned studios such as Ubisoft“said Gao.”The video game scene in Montreal has a long history of open world titles and is a breeding ground for talent. We see this place as the best opportunity to recruit a diverse team that should boost our creativity“.
