The tour of the docufilm “Terra Mia, is not a country for saints” starts from San Luca, in the province of Reggio Calabria. On 27 July at 9.00 pm in Piazza della Resistenza the director Ambrogio Crespi will present his work to the citizens with the presence of the protagonists of the film.
Among these the journalist Klaus Davi, the anticamorra parish priest Don Luigi Merola (founder of “A voce d’e creature”), the witnesses of justice Benedetto Zoccola and Augusto Di Meo, the lieutenant of the carabinieri Cosimo Sframeli, the professor Mimma Cacciatore, noted also as “dean courage”, the journalist Michele Inserra.
And then Vincenzo Chindamo, brother of Maria Chindamo, killed by the Ndrangheta in 2015; Deborah Cartisano, “Libera” referent for Locride and daughter of a victim of the Ndrangheta; Gennaro Migliore, deputy of Italia Viva former undersecretary of justice and member of the anti-mafia commission; Francesco Storace, deputy director of Il Tempo; Gian Marco Chiocci, director of AdnKronos; Sandro Gozi, MEP; Andrea Nicolosi, lawyer; and the mayor Bruno Bartolo, who sponsored the event.
San Luca is remembered in the news for the feud between families of the Ndrangheta that began in 1991 and for the Duisburg massacre. In the film Ambrogio Crespi wanted to go on a journey to tell the redemption of a territory that does not bend and does not lower its head, but which, thanks to the courage of men and women of great value, manages to bring legality back to the center of social life. , fighting against one of the fiercest criminal organizations in the world.
