The 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show saw not only previews of new models but also the debut of a scale reproduction of a thousand and one nights: it was the Lamborghini Aventador of the German company RGE Robert Guelpen Engineering which at the Teutonic event had shown the 1: 8 model of the supercar of Sant’Agata Bolognese, entirely made of carbon. So far no particularity, except that a few weeks later the small car was brought to Dubai with a gold livery. And not a simple coloring but a gold film with a thickness of 1 thousandth of a millimeter.
The golden Lamborghini Aventador immediately became a unique piece, with builder Robert Guelpen heading straight for the Guinness World Record at the time. As he had told at the time, it took $ 2.64 million for the precious stones, gold, platinum and diamonds used to coat his model of the Toro racing car. The special reproduction of the Aventador has thus become the most expensive scale car in history, with a process that in addition to gold on the livery has also led it to have precious stones set in the engine compartment cover, in addition to the front optical signature and rear. The Lamborghini Aventador model was sold for 7.5 million dollars, in combination with a badge depicting the 24-carat Lamborghini Bull.
