“I will start listening to the offers”. This is how Matías Zaldivia confirmed that he will not continue in Colo Colo for the 2023 season.
“The truth is that I am very disillusioned with the treatment of the leaders. After having spent seven years at the club, having won eight titles, I think that at least I deserved an answer to my intentions”, he added.

Zaldivia’s statements caused great surprise because coach Gustavo Quinteros had expressed his intention to to keep the entire squad.
Given this, the albo squad had a special way of supporting or paying homage to their now former teammate. And it is that in the duel against Real Betis they went out onto the field of the Sausalito stadium wearing shirts with the name of Zaldivia.
