For Francesco Molinari and Guido Migliozzi the 149th edition of The Open could mark the turning point. The Turinese, in the tournament that in 2018 saw him enter the elite of golf, dreams of a historic “double” to return to great levels. For the Vicenza Migliozzi it will be the first time ever at The Open. After the 4th place (at the absolute debut in a Major) at the US Open the Veneto is aiming for another great result in a Grand Slam event. Seventy-third (and best blue) in the world ranking, he has already shown that he does not feel the pressure and will try to confirm his excellent form. Molinari will play the first two rounds of the competition alongside the Australian Marc Leishman and the English Matt Wallace. Migliozzi will face the French Victor Perez and the American Kevin Streelman. In addition to Woods, Matsuyama and Zach Johnson were also absent. The Royal St George’s Golf Club can accommodate up to a maximum of 32,000 spectators per day. 156 players (including 8 amateurs) will compete for a total prize pool of $ 11,500,000.
