The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, the Ministry of Culture and the Bank Popular Dominicano presented two new projects to continue promoting business opportunities in the so-called orange economy, which encompasses the country’s cultural and creative industries.

Both ministries launched the Creative Directory, a digital registration platform for professionals and companies in the cultural and creative sectors, designed to strengthen the value chain of the orange economy, since it allows supply and demand for services to be put in contact cultural and creative, promoting the positioning of the sector at a local and international level and thereby increasing its added value in the economy.

In this directory, people and companies from the creative economy will be able to exhibit their goods and services and contact potential clients and other professionals who complement their creative proposal. The directory will be available on the web portal www.directoriocreativo.gob.do

Banco Popular announced “Orange Entrepreneurs”, a service that allows creative entrepreneurs to evolve their projects from the original idea to turn it into a successful SME, with access to training and a loan to undertake, with special conditions in terms and rates.

An orange entrepreneur will be able to so Propel your idea through the four phases of the project, receiving finance and ideation workshops taught by certified facilitators and, if you need it, obtain financing designed according to your needs to grow your business proposal.

The development of these initiatives is part of the public-private partnership between the aforementioned institutions and also the Technological Institute of Santo Domingo (INTEC) to promote the orange economy in the Dominican Republic, which They can be found through the web portal www.economia Naranja.com.do, which brings together numerous valuable resources and tools from each institution.

The launch of both initiatives took place before representatives of the different industries of Dominican creativity, such as cinema, fashion, design, architecture, gastronomy, cultural management, audiovisual media, software or advertising, among others.
