Google released the search trends around the first post-electoral period in Colombia, with data extracted on May 30, 2022. Here you can see which were the topics that were of most interest after the triumph of Gustavo Petro and Rodolfo Hernández.
Post-Election Day Trends
It should be noted that 8 of the 10 most searched questions in the country are related to elections. The questions that most increase registered in the last day are linked to “elections bulletin” and “how are the elections going”, according to data compiled by Google Trends.
For its part, “until what time can you vote” had an increase of 3,300%, in the last day; while “when is the second round” is a query that increased by 2,950%, during the last day. In turn, “dry law presidential elections” had an increase of 170% in the last few hours.
