As part of the restructuring carried out by the teams with each new tournament, the America club presented the arrival of Héctor González Iñárritu for the Apertura 2022 of the Liga MX. Through an official statement, the Americanist institution announced to the press and the fans the incorporation of a new manager in Coapa.
González Iñárritu will hold the position of operational president. Together with Santiago Baños, sports president, they will undertake an internal restructuring in Las Águilas to return the club to the victories that will place it in the fight for the title of champion.< /p>
“Mr. Santiago Baños Reynaud will continue as sports president, while Mr. Héctor González Iñárritu rejoins the club, now as operational president”, can be read in the official statement.
Who is Héctor González Iñárritu?
And within his family nucleus, it stands out that he is the brother of the renowned filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu. Originally from Mexico City, he began his professional career within the Televisa group in the 1990s. It was there that the opportunity arose to get closer to Mexican football.
