On Wednesday afternoon, millions of YouTube users were left wanting to see their videos of interest, as there was a system crash that affected Mexico and other countries.
According to DownDetector , a website that is dedicated to monitoring failures in platforms , applications and various services globally, around 5:45 p.m. thousands of netizens began to report failures of the popular “red button” platform, reaching a peak of 16,183 reports at 6:26 PM.

However, other netizens noticed the problems until they played the video , as only the moving circle that represents the load appeared and after several minutes a legend of “An error occurred (reproduction ID) appeared. Press to retry ”, obtaining the same result when doing it.

Although the failure is not total , it is affecting navigation mainly on mobile devices.
In addition, 94% of users reported problems when uploading videos , while a minority had problems accessing the website and uploading content.
Regarding the affected regions, most of the problems occur in the United States, Latin America and Europe. In the case of Mexico, according to reports they are located in the capital of the country, as well as in Monterrey, Nuevo León.

The cause of the problem is still unknown ; However, through its Twitter account in Spanish, YouTube indicated that it is already working to solve the problem:

Meanwhile, on Twitter the hashtag #YouTubeDOWN quickly became a trend and several people came to it to express their frustration , as evidence of the failures. Also, the traditional memes in this regard were not lacking.
