A batch with 200 thousand vaccines against laboratory coronavirus CanSino He arrived in the country this Tuesday. Unlike the other brands, which demand two applications, the scheme of this Chinese development is single dose.
These sera will be applied to “hard-to-reach populations”, which include people living on the streets, migrants, refugees and other dispersed groups, as reported by the Government.
“With that goal, the CanSino laboratory vaccines were reserved, which when administered in a single dose manage to reduce logistical barriers,” detailed official sources.
“200,000 vaccines from the CanSino laboratory have arrived in our country. With this new shipment they are already 57,407,120 doses on Argentine soil #ArgentinaTeCuida “, published this morning the official account of Twitter Argentina Unida.

The boarding arrived around three in the morning at Ezeiza International Airport, on flight QR8157 of the Qatar Airways company.
This Chinese development is single-dose, and has the particularity of being based on adenovirus 5, the same one that uses the second component of Sputnik V as a viral vector. So when the local vaccine combination trial began, Cansino’s vaccine was predicted to be the candidate most likely to be the natural replacement given the Russian shortage.
On August 6, a month ago, the first batch of 200,000 doses of CanSino had arrived in the country, out of the 5.4 million that the Government bought.
According to official figures, 51,809,399 doses have already been distributed throughout the territory.
The new landing was added to the 1,736,000 Sinopharm sera that arrived last Saturday from Beijing, on Lufthansa Cargo airline flight LH8264.
Argentina thus totals 57,407,120 vaccines against the coronavirus since the beginning of the campaign. Of that total, 15,000,920 are Sputnik V (10,955,260 for the first component and 4,045,660 for the second component).
From the AstraZeneca firm, the country already has 15,594,200 vaccines among the 580,000 from Covishield, the 1,944,000 received by the Covax mechanism, 11,859,200 directly provided by the laboratory, 400,000 donated by Spain and 811,000 by Mexico. Meanwhile, 22,912,000 are from the Sinopharm laboratory, 200,000 from Cansino and 3,500,000 from Moderna, donated by the United States.
According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, until this morning they were distributed 51,809,399 doses throughout the territory, while applications total 45,177,464. In turn, 28,431,871 people received at least one dose; and this group includes 16,745,593 that already have both applications.
