The 89th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the oldest and most prestigious endurance race, fourth round of the FIA WEC World Championship, was dominated by 488 GTE by AF Corse which have achieved success in the LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am class.
Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado and Côme Ledogar at the wheel of Ferrari number 51 won authoritatively in the LMGTE Pro class, while Nicklas Nielsen, François Perrodo and Alessio Rovera dominated in the LMGTE Am class. In this category the podium was completed by the 488 GTE of Iron Lynx led by Callum Ilott, Rino Mastronardi and Matteo Cressoni. The race started at 16:00 yesterday with an exceptional starter: Ferrari President John Elkann. For the House of the Prancing Horse this is the 38th victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, given the 29 class successes and 9 overall. For the 488 GTE, however, it is the third success in the French classic.
