Over the weekend rumors and leaks about the remastering of Alan Wake jumped. On the one hand, the Rakuten Taiwan store revealed to us that Alan Wake Remastered would be a reality and would arrive on October 5, 2021 both for Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S as PlayStation 4, PS5 and we assume that PC. Although, this long-awaited remaster has not yet been officially announced by Remedy, but it seems that Alan Wake Remastered’s announcement would happen this week, according to the trusty Daniel Ahmad.
Alan Wake fans should be excited to learn that everything seems to indicate that Remedy is developing a remastering of the game. But now, while we wait for official information, our colleagues from nintendopal have shared what would be the Alan Wake Remastered first details.
- Alan Wake Remastered will use Remedy Entertainment’s Northlight Engine, previously used in Control.
- The game supports Ray Tracing on PS5, Xbox Series X | S, and PC.
- Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will benefit from higher resolution and graphics quality changes, but will not have Ray Tracing.
- The remaster will support 60 FPS.
Alan Wake 2 could be in development according to a new track
In general, this is probably a minimum of what we would expect from a remaster, but as always with leaks and rumors, we remind you to take these details with a degree of skepticism as Remedy has not yet officially announced Alan Wake Remastered.
