A positive Friday forAlphaTauri, which closed the ‘works’ with all the cars in the top-10, both in the morning and in the afternoon. For long stretches of the PL1, even the cars from Faenza remained close to the Red Bulls, for an all-Honda quartet in the lead. Slightly better Yuki Tsunoda, fifth in the morning and sixth in the afternoon, which in both sessions recorded times around 1: 05 low, while Pierre Gasly he finished on Friday with a P9 and a P7. Yuki Tsunoda (PL1 P5, 1: 05.474 – PL2 P6, 1: 05.356): “Today was a good day and we are happy to have kept the same pace as last week. We worked hard on the long runs, because we struggled a bit during the race: I think the result was really positive. The track conditions were not easy: this week it is colder and a bit of rain has also arrived around the end of FP2. Today my main goal was to collect as much data for qualifying and the race, gradually lowering the lap times: I did it without making any mistakes, so I’m satisfied“.

Pierre Gasly (PL1 P9, 1: 05.726 – PL2 P7, 1: 05.379): “After losing the PL2 last week and practically missing the race too, today I tried to make up for some time by working on long runs, to understand the behavior of the tires. I think there have been many positive aspects and we have confirmed that we have a good pace. However, with these conditions there were some slight difficulties, so tonight we will have some things to analyze with the engineers, in order to make some changes for tomorrow.“.
