Amazon today announced the launch of a brand new product from the range of Echo in France, with the Echo Auto. As its name leaves a subtle guess, it is a device built to be installed in our cars. Alexa invites in cars with Echo Auto
Echo Self is a small device, equipped with a set of eight microphones tailored to take account of the acoustics difficult cars. Enough to allow Alexa to hear the requests of the user in spite of the music, the air conditioning, the ambient noise of the road…
The device Echo Auto is powered directly by the cigarette lighter socket of the vehicle, or failing that, by a USB port. It connects to the stereo system via an audio jack 3.5 mm jack, but can also pair with Bluetooth on the vehicle the pleased recent. Echo Self then connects to the Alexa via the application of the same name, available on iOS as on Android, and comes to draw in the data package of the user to operate.

It should be noted that the holder for ventilation grille is not compatible with all vehicles, and that the device itself is not compatible with some vehicles. This is notably the case of some of the Audi A3, BMW 3 Series (2004/2013), the Fiat 500, the Ford Fiesta, the Mazda 3 (2008/2013) or the Nissan Qashqai, the Nissan Leaf, the Toyota Prius and the Volkswagen Up and a Polo shirt.
