Club América defeated Atlas de Guadalajara in match day 4 of the Grita México 2021 tournament. The Eagles team won by the slightest difference against the Foxes with a goal by Sebastián Córdova in minute 77. The capital team won the victory despite having one less player from minute 57 after Emanuel Aguilera was sent off.
Through their social networks, the azulcremas mocked the rojinegros for an incident that occurred last tournament and that cost America the three points, despite having defeated Atlas. In the 2021 Guardians, Atlas filed a complaint against the Eagles for improper alignment, due to the fact that Federico Viñas was on the bench, but was not registered in the party’s identity card.
