Arturo Vidal traveled to Milan this Sunday and his arrival was reflected by Inter , a club he will join in the next few hours, after saying goodbye to Barcelona.
The 33-year-old Chilean landed after 8:30 p.m. (18:30 GMT) at Linate airport dressed in a white sweatshirt and shorts, as seen in some images and videos that were shared by the official networks of the Serie A team . The Santiago midfielder, who already played in Italy with the Juventus shirt, will undergo a medical examination this Monday prior to signing with Inter by coach Antonio Conte , with whom he already worked in Turin.
After the viralization of the images, Lionel Messi published a message on his Instagram account to his former partner: “ I only knew you from facing each other and you always seemed like a phenomenon to me, but then I was lucky to meet you personally and you surprised me even more . They were two years sharing many things and you made yourself notice a lot, the costumes will miss you, @ kingarturo23oficial. I wish you all the best in this new stage at your new club. We will cross again, for sure ”.

Although the details of the transfer are still unknown, Vidal would have reached an agreement with the Barça leadership to liquidate the last year of his contract he had with the entity and leave for Inter Milan for less than one million euros. The meeting between the footballer’s representative and the Catalan club last week ended on good terms after the former Bayern Munich player agreed to waive the salary he was to receive until June 30, 2021.
This symbolic operation is similar to the one carried out with the departure of Ivan Rakitic to Sevilla, which was done in exchange for 1.5 million euros, plus an additional 9 million for achieving different objectives (some easy and others more difficult within European competences).
The Italian team’s official debut in Serie A will be on September 26 , when they host Fiorentina at the San Siro. We will have to wait to know if Conte will include The King in the call or give him some time to adapt.
