A day has passed and the reactions for the national classic continue beyond the field. Several journalists and former Chivas de Guadalajara footballers have expressed their dissatisfaction with Oribe Peralta's gesture after the match.
One of them was Carlos Salcido, now president of the Mexican Football League (LBM). On his Twitter account, the former rojiblanco player wrote a message without mentioning the name of any footballer , although it could be a hint for his partner at the 2012 London Olympics, where they won the gold medal.
In my humble opinion, the footballer has training every day and that is where he finds the best platform to speak
Salcido indicated that, on the pitch, the players demonstrate dedication, passion, love, discipline, friendship, values, respect, fair play . However, he stressed that in the field they show how the institution to which they belong should be defended .

“That is called PROFESSIONALISM (the capital letters are his) and I think the footballer is wrong when speaking through a social network , a camera, a microphone, to change those habits that prevail in football,” he said.
The manager of the nascent LBM assured that the field is the best place to change all the traditional attitudes that prevail in football. ” Footballer, don't be fooled. Speak inside a court and not outside . Change those habits inside and not outside. Fight and defend your institution inside a field and not outside ”, he completed.
“ Do not hurt people, institutions, fans, with messages off the field . Simply, footballer, we want to see you enjoy your profession like a professional ”, declared Carlos Salcido.
And it is that this Saturday, Chivas fell (0-1) against America , extending the streak of not beating the Eagles in the national classic. What struck the most among the Guadalajara fans is that Cepillo Peralta stayed to speak on the court with the rivals .

It is worth remembering that the Olympic striker defended the azulcremas colors for five years . However, the Flock fans did not forgive him, so the Aztec striker had to go out on social networks to calm things down.
“Soccer is a gentleman's sport. Every gentleman knows that the sporting duel ends when the referee whistles and should not cross that border, “Oribe wrote on his official Twitter account.
Especially in a context of social distancing like the one we live in, LET'S PROMOTE RESPECT AND UNION (the capital letters are his)

Later, El Cepillo published another message and a photograph of when he played in America, where he shows a friendly coexistence with Chivas footballers after the duel at that time. “November 2016. Friendship and camaraderie, always accompanied by professionalism,” he indicated.
This did not calm the waters, as several Chivas stars continued to comment on the forward's action. One of the most scathing was Adolfo Bautista , who called Peralta a “mercenary.”
“It is embarrassing to see this. This is not love of the jersey, nor professionalism. This is being mercenaries ”, commented the former soccer player who defended the rojiblancos colors and played in a Copa Libertadores final with the Guadalajara team.
However, other former rojiblancos have defended the forward. Javier “Chicharito” Hernández and Oswaldo Alanís supported Peralta in his position that “the rivalry stays on the court”.
