According to sources managed by Radio Bío Bío, the Chilean student, Fernando Enrique Salazar Julio, kidnapped in Bolivia, would have been rescued by police personnel from that country this Saturday.
This would have occurred in Oruro and not in Cochabamba, where he was kidnapped in the México Chico sector.
It is expected that in the next few hours the Bolivian police will deliver a statement about the young man’s rescue.

Antecedents known by La Radio show that this would have been a police operation, without the money being delivered as a ransom, as the kidnappers requested.
Fernando is studying medicine in the city of Cochabamba and was last seen boarding a van in the highlands of Caracal.
During this week, the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the complaint of the student’s relatives last Tuesday, who were extorted by the kidnappers, who requested a ransom of US$150 thousand.
It is expected that the young man will be transferred to Colchane, in the Tarapacá region.
The deputy Minister of the Interior, Manuel Monsalve, pointed out this week that all coordination is being carried out with the Bolivian police for the kidnapping of Fernando, with the aim of finding his whereabouts and identifying the responsible.
Government agencies, consulted by BioBioChile, are gathering more information on the rescue of the young student and his eventual transfer to Colchane.
