The film tells the story of a woman who lost her home due to the crisis and travels by car to the United States.
Zhao expressed the hope that by watching this film, people would be able to “survive the lives of people they may consider” others. “
Born in China but working in the United States, Joao, 39, has become the second woman to win the Directors Guild’s top prize after Catherine Bigelova, who received it in 2008 for The Hurt Locker.
