Kevin Boseman, brother of the late Chadwick Boseman, has lived through bittersweet days after the death of his younger brother . “I had to sit with this for a couple of days. After screening this with him, I told him that I was about to get all the nominations and … I was so faithful that I would be here to live this moment. Congratulations, little brother, ”he wrote.

“Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” which is based on August Wilson’s 1982 play of the same name, was Chadwick’s last film.

In the film, the actor played a troubled trumpeter named Levee, who is vying for his own place in the world of music. Netflix recently released the first trailer for the film, showing Boseman in his latest role , as Marvel denied any possibility of the actor being replaced in a special effects performance .

I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and underwent four rounds of chemotherapy. I’m in remission! You read well. I wanted to share it because while it has been a year of deep loss and tragedy for many of us, this is good news . Something to smile about. Something to shout ”, commented the choreographer in his stories.

In addition to this, the actor used both his situation and his brother’s to encourage the public to get checkups and to have an early detection of cancer.

Tomorrow is not promised and early detection saves lives. Health is wealth, true wealth, ”he wrote.
