This Sunday, September 5, Brazil and Argentina tried to play matchday 6 of the Conmebol tie. However, just at minute 5 of the meeting, Brazilian health authorities entered the field of play to suspend it. The argument to intercede was the presence of four footballers (Emiliano Martínez, Cristian Romero, Emiliano Buendía and Giovani Lo Celso) from the Premier League.
According to the statutes of Brazil, people who have been in the last two weeks in the United Kingdom, South Africa and India have to carry out a forced quarantine of 14 days. The Argentine players were not deported when entering the country, or when they were in their hotel or before the start of the match, but once the match started.
