In a week it is the fifth time that the daily balance exceeds 6 thousand diagnoses and, as of this Friday, there are already 37 balances in a row with PCR positivity above 10%.

This Friday morning, the Ministry of Health (Minsal) reported the detection of 6,123 new covid-19 infections, 3,103 of them symptomatic and 2,286 positive states that were not reported.
In one week is the fifth time that the daily balance exceeds 6 thousand diagnoses.
With the result of this day, the total number of patients in the active stage of the disease rose from 14,724 to 16,811, completing 15 days over five digits.

According to Ministry of Health estimates, the pandemic has contracted 20 % in one week, although these data are boosted by a low number of exams carried out nationwide.
Two weeks, meanwhile, the variation continues to show an increase that today reaches 21%.
“Of the 6,123 new cases, 48% are diagnosed by antigen test, 43% originate from Active Case Search (BAC) and 19% of those notified are asymptomatic”, detailed the Government in a statement.
Positivity, deaths and ICUs
With only 20,174 reported PCR tests, national positivity was set at 15.65%.
Of course, O&# 8217;Higgins marked 22.69%, Antofagasta 20.67% and RM 16.05%.
Considering those of antigen, not used to determine positivity or to sequence variants, today’s report was prepared with the study of 36,856 samples.
As of this Friday there are already 37 consecutive balances above 10%.
For its part, the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS) added 28 deaths to the national list, so the total number of deaths linked to the disease in Chile rose to 62,130, 50,456 confirmed and 11,674 probable.
Finally, the Government assured that there are 129 people in the ICU hospitalized for a case of covid-19, 90 of them on ventilation.
With 1,837 critical beds enabled and 275 free, the occupancy of the system integrated by the pandemic is 85.02%.
