In Italy today, Sunday 15 August 2021, 5,664 were registerednew cases of Covid-19 and 19 deaths of people infected with the virus. Yesterday 7,188 new infections and 34 deaths were reported. The data on new infections are based on swabs carried out (yesterday they were 254,006): the positivity rate is 3.5 percent, up from 3.3% yesterday.
As usual, the data are disseminated by the Ministry of Health and the Istituto Superiore della Sanità on the basis of the figures provided by the Regions. The people currently positive about Covid in Italy are (+). There are 384 people hospitalized in intensive care with the virus and there have been X new entries in the last 24 hours. Ordinary hospital admissions, on the other hand, are 3162 in total(+61).
