“Not everyone who wants to come to our country is allowed to enter,” said the Federal Minister of the Interior. Seven Afghans were caught on rescue flights by the Bundeswehr: some had forged papers, others had previously been deported as criminals.
B.and Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) wants to have stricter border controls carried out in the event of large new refugee movements. Seehofer told the newspaper Bild am Sonntag: “We will do everything we can to prevent the uncontrolled influx of migrants to Europe. That is why we are monitoring the refugee movements from Afghanistan and other countries in the region, such as Syria and Iraq, very closely. If necessary, we will tighten the control measures to our limits. Not everyone who wants to come to our country is allowed to enter. “
Seven Afghans were noticed by the security authorities during controls after the Bundeswehr’s evacuation flights from Kabul in Germany: One is in custody, two are still in the care of the police at the airport. Seehofer: “Three had forged documents with them and four had already been deported from Germany to Afghanistan as criminals. These were serious crimes.”
