A cruise ship with tourists Foreigners were in the Los Ríos region, the arrival of which was unknown to the Seremi de Economía, Fomento y Turismo and the Municipalidad de Corral.
Surprise for many was the presence of a cruise ship in Corral Bay this week. So much so that not even the Municipality as the host commune knew of the arrival of this vessel luxury, nor the Seremi de Economía, which requested information from the Chilean Navy to find out what this presence of tourists was about.
There were 70 passengers from the Silver Explorer cruise ship who arrived on this 80-meter-long cruise. They visited museums in Valdivia and trekked in Curiñanco. This was the information that the government entity received from the maritime institution.
However, in Corral, the Municipal Tourism unit had to consult different parts, which revealed a lack of coordination between different sectors. The person in charge of Tourism of the building, Bárbara Antillanca, affirmed that in the future these issues should be communicated so that no one is taken by surprise, because this is an opportunity to do tourism in the Puerto commune as well.
