The Czech Republic decided to immediately remove its diplomats from Afghanistan. This was announced on August 14 at a briefing in Prague by the country’s Foreign Minister Jakub Kolganek.
“The situation in Afghanistan is getting worse. Based on the recommendation of our ambassador in Kabul and the information we received from our allies, I was forced to make a decision to immediately move our diplomats to the international airport in Kabul, ”the Czech Foreign Minister said.
Earlier on Saturday, Politico reported, citing sources, that the United States is preparing to evacuate the entire country’s embassy from Kabul.
According to journalists, the US Central Command considers the evacuation of the diplomatic missions imminent.

Currently, the US military is helping local residents to strengthen the defenses of Kabul, and is also coordinating defense plans with the Afghan government.
On August 13, the Norwegian authorities decided to temporarily close the embassy in Kabul and recall all staff. The Danish authorities did the same.
At the same time, the Russian embassy in Kabul reported that they are not currently preparing for evacuation.
Representatives of the Taliban movement banned in Russia took control of Kandahar, Herat, as well as the capitals of the provinces of Nimroz, Jawzjan, Sari-Pul, Kunduz, Takhar, Samangan, Farah, Baghlan and Badakhshan.
The situation in Afghanistan aggravated against the backdrop of the withdrawal of the US military, who had been in the country for 20 years. During this time, it was not possible to achieve stable peace in the region and the establishment of the political situation in the country. The withdrawal of troops began in early May; it is planned to complete it by the end of August.
