Degli Esposte: “iWish study on ITP: most patients exposed to corticosteroid therapies for more than 3 months”

“The objective of the study is to measure the epidemiology and drug use with patients affected by ITP. According to the study, ITP was equal to 262 cases / million assisted. About two thirds of the patients were treated with corticosteroid drugs and, among these, the majority had an exposure exceeding three months of therapy ”. This was stated by Luca Degli Esposti, President of CliCon Health, Economics and Outcomes Research, on the sidelines of the event “Primary Immune Thrombocytopenia: changing the approach to change your life”, promoted by Inrete with the non-conditioning contribution of Novartis.
