Action during the regatta organized by the Dominican Sailing Federation. during the weekend in Las Terranas, Samaá.
The crystal clear waters of Las Ballenas beach in Las Terrenas were the setting for the Terrenas 2022 Regatta, which took place led held on May 21 and 22 in an event organized by the Dominican Sailing Federation (Fedovela) together with various water sports schools in the country.
Some 49 competitors between children, adolescents and adults, demonstrated during the weekend why The Dominican Republic has become an ideal place to practice this type of sports. Irina Pérez, vice president of Fedovela commented “The Federation seeks to encourage support for these sports that grow with the benefits offered by the climate of our country”.
The competitors belong to sports schools in Terrenas, Boca Chica, La Isabela , Calderas, Barahona, Pedernales, Juan Dolio, La Romana, Palmar de Ocoa and Cabarete.

In the female and male Radial Laser category, gold was obtained by Nathalia Rodríguez and Alenxandre Andreu, silver by Rosanna Mateo and Emmanuel Feliz and bronze for Andreina Perez and Idelito Arias. In the Male Standard Laser category, Raúl Aguayo won. gold, Ari Barshi, silver and Christopher Theo, bronze.
In Optimist blue, Jean Ramirez, Marina Mateo and Yadiel Michel, obtained gold, silver and bronze, respectively. In Optimist Green, Ángel Arias, Juan Domínguez and Aline Fabián qualified in the same order.
In the Optimist Red Male and Female category, gold went to Moisés Nin and Ana Ruiz, money for José; Nuñez and Kiara Fermín and the bronze went to Dualis Feliz.
In the Women’s and Men’s Sunfish Aycha Guerrero and Esneiry Pérez, Neffert Peña and Johnny Pérez, Melany Castillo and Elvis Montesino , gold, silver and bronze, respectively
