Eating just one cup of dark green leafy vegetables every day can increase muscle capacity, according to research from Australia’s Edith Cowan University.
The study, published in March in the journal Journal of Nutrition, found that people who ate a diet rich in nitrate, a nutrient common in dark green leaves, had better muscle structure in their lower limbs.
