Experts assessed the impact of the new coronavirus restrictions introduced in Crimea on tourist demand for the region. This is reported on website Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
So, in six regions of Crimea, additional coronavirus restrictions were introduced – in Feodosia, Sudak, Dzhankoy, Dzhankoy region, Bakhchisarai and Bakhchisarai region. From July 13, entertainment and entertainment events are prohibited – discos, karaoke clubs, concerts and theaters. In addition, catering outlets will only operate for take-out and delivery.
Experts note that these restrictions will slightly affect the rest of tourists, since most of them prefer to spend time on the beaches or in hotels. However, the situation with the operation of water parks and attractions remains unclear, the work of which is subject to the new rules.
Nevertheless, experts recorded a general decline in demand in Crimea. At the same time, the decline in bookings is observed only in the second half of July – in August, in their opinion, the load is stable. However, this does not apply to the situation in Sevastopol, where there is a ban on the accommodation of tourists in hotels without PCR tests or a certificate of a past illness. Experts noted that there are practically no new bookings in the city’s hotels.
