Max Verstappen won the Belgian GP of the F1 2021 World Championship, a surreal race that lasted only two laps, behind the safety car. The abundant rain descended on the runway of Spa Francorchamps influenced the smooth running of the Grand Prix, which was run along the minimum distance to award half of the points. In fact, after more than three hours compared to the scheduled departure time of the Belgian GP, the Race Direction gave the start of the race behind the safety car.
We raced only to get a result, without having to cancel the race. Therefore after two laps the Red flag, believing that there were no minimum security conditions.

The wait in the long Belgian afternoon in Spa Francorchamps was nerve-wracking, with the weather conditions never showing signs of improving. A lot of rain fell on the Ardennes on the day of the Belgian GP that made the Spa track impracticable.

Verstappen has been declared the winner of the 2021 Belgian GP
Max Verstappen was declared the winner, ahead of Williams driver George Russell and Lewis Hamilton. The Red Bull driver therefore conquered 12.5 points and reduced the delay in drivers standings against Lewis Hamilton. In the farce GP George Russel celebrated second place with Williams, his first career podium.
