The Foundation for Development, Culture, Arts, Physical Activity and Education ( Fomcae) presented its first children’s contest “Let’s Illustremos el Cuento”, an initiative that aims to encourage, promote reading and creativity for the development of the artistic abilities of children between the ages of 8 and 12
The call for the contest was made known through a press release, in which the Dominican writer Lidia Martínez de Macarrulla, president of the organizing entity and author of the story “Colloquio en el Firmamento ”, urging all parents to motivate their children to participate in this event.
The content of the story, summarized in two pages, highlights the values and roles of the Solar System (The Sun and The Moon), as well as the values of the Solar System. like the meteorological and atmospheric phenomena that occur in planetary life.

Martínez de Macarrulla, said that the message sent to children through the story is of union, love and conscience, where we are all necessary for the planet to exist and to preserve human life and its species.
“The interest in caring for the environment and worrying about Climate Change, which is a job for all of humanity, that we must all contribute to take care of it”, he concluded.
The contest is taking place at the national level and is aimed at children from different educational centers, high schools, colleges, arts schools and the general public and open until June 15 of the current year.
Recognized plastic arts professionals, writers, and journalists familiar with the subject participate in it, who have donated their knowledge to Fomcae to enhance this award.
