Earlier on Sunday, German Kicker said Çaykur Rizespor was aiming for the Northern Fire.
Finland national football team striker Joel Pohjanpalo will play in the Çaykur Rizespor of the Turkish league this season. The club announced on Sunday night to have signed a one-year loan agreement with Pohjanpalo.
Already on Sunday German Kicker said Çaykur Rizespor is aiming for the Northern Fire.
Kicker said that the current club of Pohjanpalo, which will soon turn 27 years old, Bayer Leverkusen would have initially sought to sell the attacker for a transfer amount of about two million euros. Since there have been no takers, the club, according to Kicker, is now ending up with an option where it first enters into an extension agreement with Pohjanpalo and then lends this to Rizespor.
