Let us remember that in 2006 the grass replacement process began, going from the natural redoubt of the stadium inaugurated in 1940 under the name of Parque Schott, to the synthetic turf that has already completed its useful life, as confirmed by the authorities.
Resources for the remodeling of the synthetic grass mat in the Osorno stadium
For this reason, in a request made to the Ministry of Sports, there was an echo at the central level, and during her visit to the area, the secretary of state confirmed the delivery of 300 million pesos from the current budget, to carry out the replacement of the surface, for which an additional 140 million will be needed, which will be invested by the local municipality.
“(…) We are going to make this sum of 440 million pesos that will allow us to replace the folder. You know that the synthetic grass folder always has limited use. It has already completed its cycle, therefore, we are very happy to be able to announce this investment,” indicated the minister.
Before the news, the mayor Emeterio Carrillo, explained that the measure adds to the reinforcement that seeks to promote in Osorno, with local sports.
“This type of alliance is not frequent, and with the will that things are done (…). When there is political will to do things, the result is this, that people can really trust the authorities”, specified the communal authority.
Regarding the execution of the work, the community chief explained that upon receiving funds from the 2022 budget, the work can be carried out during the first quarter of next year.
In addition, Carrillo confirmed that the appeal is being sought in the Regional Government to carry out another modification in a city stadium, but this time in the Alberto Allaire, which brings together the Rahue soccer community.
