Nintendo could take up the idea, and create new mini consoles, in order to attract new generations.
Have already passed four years, since the launch of the last miniature console from Nintendo. If you are one of those who wanted another platform in this edition, like a Nintendo 64 Mini or GameCube Mini, you might be in luck, because Nintendo has not abandoned the idea.
Nintendo had preferred to expand the retro catalog of the Nintendo Switch, over the creation of another mini console.Shuntaro Furukawa, President of Nintendo, responded to this community concern, in a questions and answers session with the company’s shareholders. “We will continue to examine the possibility of offering classic content, such as the NES and SNES Classic Mini series, as well as our online services, as a way to communicate the appeal of our products to different generations.”
The president of Nintendó continued, mentioning the importance of creating content for All ages: “We always want our products to be used by people of all ages, from children to adults. In fact, after being in the video game business for many years, we believe that there are now a wide range of generations who have adopted the Nintendo consoles “.

Although Furukawa’s answer did not confirm the development of another miniature console certainly gives hope to the community asking for news. As already mentioned above, Nintendo chose to focus on expanding the retro catalog on Nintendo Switch, on creating a Nintendo 64 Mini. However, that statement is already more than a year old, and the company, as its president told us, is examining other possibilities.
