The new rule introduces fines ranging from 100,000 rubles (1,600 euros) to 10 million rubles (160,500 euros) for violating the legislation, which represents a significant tightening of the current law, since it extends the prohibition to adults to “LGBTI propaganda”, which was already applied to minors.
