Last week, Dolly Parton had the honor of receiving the Bezos Courage and Civility Award. An award created by Amazon’s founder in 2001 to celebrate “leaders who seek to find solutions with courage and civic sense,” but which also comes with a $100 million endowment to donate to; associations chosen by the recipient.

“I will do good things with this money,” Dolly Parton after receiving her award from Jeff Bezos and presenter Lauren Sanchez who is also her girlfriend.
“When people are in position to help, they must help. And like I’ve always said, I’s try to put my money there. where is my heart.”

Not long ago, Jeff Bezos expressed that his wish to donate most of his fortune to good works, now estimated at 124 billion dollars.
Donations that he intends to make during his lifetime, as he specified; during a recent interview granted to CNN, following in the footsteps of Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and George Lucas who made the same promise in 2010.
