Prosecuted before the Marseille criminal court after a complaint from the former director of the Marseille IHU Didier Raoult for defamation, the infectious disease specialist and head of service at the Saint-Antoine hospital in Paris Karine Lacombe was relaxed this Tuesday.

In an interview with; Europe 1 in July 2020, Karine Lacombe had declared; that, “legal actions [against Didier Raoult] for lying before the parliamentary commission are ongoing”. The doctor was referring to the hearing of Didier Raoult by the National Assembly a few weeks earlier, during which the director of the IHU at the time affirmed that the death rate bound to the coronavirus was more important at Paris qu’à` Marseilles. The presiding judge made a “good faith apology” by Karine Lacombe.
