The French international player Kylian Mbappé was chosen for the cover of the video game FIFA 22, in which he appears with the colors of Paris Saint-Germain, thus complicating his future as a possible reinforcement of Real Madrid.
“I am proud to return to the cover of FIFA,” Mbappé wrote on his official Instagram profile, where he published several photos of the cover of the video game. In all it appeared with the new PSG jersey and with the number 7 on the back.
“As one of the brightest and most promising footballers in the video game, Mbappé represents the next generation of iconic footballers who perfectly represent the global FIFA community through his dedication to making a positive impact on the development of avant-garde football ”, commented from the publisher Electronic Arts responsible for the video game.

The PSG attacker appears on the cover of FIFA for the second year in a row, something that only three players achieved in three decades: Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The one of 2020 was for the madridista Eden Hazard and the first, in 1995, for Tottenham’s Norwegian goalkeeper at the time: Erik thorstvedt.
FIFA 22 yet does not have a confirmed release date on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC consoles; although historically this occurs in the last days of September.
Meanwhile, publisher EA Sports will announce more details of the video game of virtual football on July 11, a few days before the EA Play Live 2021 event in which they will surely deepen the news around the launch.
PSG congratulated “Kiki”
Amid the uncertainty about the future of the French striker, who will end his contract next year with PSG, the Parisian club did not want to boast of his star on his social networks, uploading photos of Mbappé as the cover of the next FIFA accompanied by the words “ALWAYS KIKI!”.
Mbappé, who until now has not renewed with the Parisian team, has always shown his interest in playing for Real Madrid, but his situation seems to have complicated for the 2021-22 season after this publication. Whites should wait for a campaign if they want to take over his services.
