A man was judged in immediate appearance Monday by the criminal court of Angers (Maine-et-Loire), for violence committed against his companion. On November 11, this father had been arrested by the gendarmes when he was threatening his spouse to death with a chainsaw; relate West-France. The victim had taken refuge with neighbors who had given the alert.

The father of the family would not have stopped violence since 2018, even in the presence of his children. On November 11, the defendant was drunk. Without a driver’s license, he had nevertheless borrowed his girlfriend’s car. While the latter had confiscated her the keys, the man would have torn the gear knob and would have on the young woman.
Duty of care
He was condemned by the court 18 months in prison with a committal warrant, including six months suspended. It is subject to; an obligation of care and will have to find a job. The father of the family no longer has the right to enter into contact with the victim, who had refused to to file a civil action, for two years.
