A man in his 60s – approximately – died this morning after falling from an 18th floor in Concepción. The causes are subject to investigation, for which the Prosecutor’s Office instructed the IAPA and Labocar de Carabineros to take steps to clarify the incident.
During this Sunday morning, a man died after falling from the 18th floor of a building in Concepción, Bío Bío region.
Specifically, the incident occurred around 8:00 am in the Piedra Real condominium, located on Las Heras street, between Cardenio and Avello de Atahualpa. The tragedy caused a stir among the residents of the sector.
Personnel from Samu and Carabineros arrived at the scene, after being alerted by one of the witnesses. This was reported by Lieutenant José Quiroz, of the Second Concepción Police Station.
“They reported that there was a person who had fallen from a height from a building located in the place on Heras street. Immediately Carabineros and Samu went to the scene, verifying that it was an adult, older, approximately 60 years old, male, who verified by Samu personnel, no longer maintained vital signs“, explained Quiroz .
Finally, The Prosecutor’s Office instructed that personnel from the Police Investigations Section (SIP) and Labocar de Carabineros remain in charge of the proceedings to clarify the fact.
