A few months after the launch of EQS, Mercedes-EQ already introduces the next model based on the special architecture dedicated to electric cars: And New EQE, with autonomy che goes up to 660 km in WLTP.
At the time of launch, the model range initially includes two versions: EQE 350 from 215 kW / 292 hp and 530 Nm and a second model with 4Matic traction and a second electric motor on the front axle.
New electric Mercedes EQE, features
Compared to EQS, luxury sedan, EQE has lines still more rigid, a slightly reduced wheelbase, shorter overhangs and more recessed hips. The wheels flush with the body, with rims in the formats 19 to 21 inches, together with the powerful shoulders, they give EQE a sporty character.

For external dimensions (length / width / height: 4,946 / 1,961 / 1,512mm), EQE is similar to CLS, with which it also shares the structure with fixed rear window and trunk lid. The dimensions of the passenger compartment clearly exceed even those of the current one Class E (Series 213), for example for the shoulder height in the front compartment (+27 mm) and for the length of the passenger compartment (+80 mm).
New electric Mercedes EQE MBUX Hyperscreen OLED
With MBUX Hyperscreen, available on request, the entire instrument panel becomes a unique widescreen display high quality, which dictates the aesthetics of the entire dashboard and passenger compartment. The display OLED 12.3 inch constitutes the display and control area dedicated to the front passenger.
In Europe, the front passenger can enjoy dynamic content such as video, TV or Internet even while driving, because Mercedes-EQ uses a logic of smart lock and camera-based: if the camera detects that the driver is looking at the passenger display, certain content is automatically faded.

The latest generation of MBUX, recently presented with EQS, is also available on board the EQE. Thanks to the software with learning ability, this command and visualization system adapts fully to the user and provides him with personalized suggestions for numerous functions relating to infotainment, comfort and the vehicle.
New electric Mercedes EQE, electric motor
They will initially enter the market EQE 350 with 215 kW / 292 hp and a second model. Other versions will follow at a later time. All EQE models adopt a electric powertrain (eATS) on the rear axle. Future versions with 4MATIC drive will have a second eATS on the front axle.
The new Mercedes EQE 350 is powered by a 292hp PSM synchronous electric motor
Electric motors are type synchronous with permanent magnets (PSM). A PSM is an electric motor in AC, on whose rotor there are several permanent magnets and which therefore does not require an electrical power supply.
New electric Mercedes EQE, battery, range and charging
EQE’s lithium-ion battery consists of ten modules and has a usable energy content of 90 kWh. The innovative battery management software, developed in-house, allows you to perform the “over the air” (OTA) updates, so as to keep EQE’s energy management up-to-date for the entire life cycle. EQE’s battery is guaranteed for ten years or 250 thousand kilometers. The autonomy reaches 660 km in WLTP.
For (fast) charging in direct current a DC system is available on board with a maximum charging power of 170 kW. With EQE, that’s enough 15 minutes to recharge up to 35.55 kWh, equivalent to an autonomy of up to 250 kilometers based on WLTP autonomy.

With the new feature Plug & Charge of Mercedes me Charge, EQE is even easier to charge at authorized public charging stations: inserting the charging cable the process starts automatically, without the need for further authentication by the customer. Communication between the vehicle and the charging station takes place directly with the charging cable.
The assistance system ECHO it also allows you to optimize energy recovery according to the situation, by increasing or reducing the intensity of deceleration, in order to make your driving style as efficient as possible. There deceleration in energy recovery it is also used as much as possible to brake the car when it approaches other vehicles and even works until it stops, for example at a traffic light. The driver therefore does not need to press the brake pedal and can actually drive with just one pedal.

Browsing with Electric Intelligence it plans the most comfortable and fastest route, including charging breaks, based on numerous factors, and reacts dynamically to queues or a change in driving style. It includes, for example, a display in the MBUX Infotainment system which indicates whether the available battery capacity is sufficient to return to the starting point without recharging.
New electric Mercedes EQE, trim
The set-up of the New EQE with four-link front axle And axisthree-dimensional rear is closely related to that of New S-Class On request, EQE is available with suspensions AIRMATIC pneumatic with adaptive ADS + damping adjustment.

With rear-axle steering (available as an option), EQE moves around town with the same agility as a compact. The steering angle on the rear axle is up to ten degrees. With the rear-axle steering, the turning circle is reduced from 12.5 meters to even 10.7 meters.
ADAS on electric Mercedes EQE
The latest generation of ADAS driver assistance systems includes numerous functions useful for the driver.
