Microsoft unveiled Windows 365, one new version of the operating system entirely based on the cloud. The solution is specifically designed for companies interested in testing Windows 10 or Windows 11 without carrying out any installation on your devices. Thanks to cloud technology, in fact, you will have access to aoperating system instance including applications, data and settings which will be immediately transferred to company PCs and devices. Everything will be protected according to the Zero Trust principle, with which Windows 365 protects and stores information in the cloud and not on a single device.
Windows 365, the Cloud PC category is born
Satya Nadella, Microsoft president and CEO, enthusiastically comments on the announcement: “With Windows 365, we’re creating a new category: the Cloud PC. Just like applications have been brought to the cloud with the SaaS model now we are bringing the operating system to the cloud, providing organizations with greater flexibility and a secure way to enable their employees to be more productive and connected, regardless of their geographic location“, Reads a press release released by the company.
The idea of Windows 365 also comes from needs of the new modern post-pandemic world, in which virtual processes and remote collaborations are favored. An environment of this type requires employees to be able to access company resources from anywhere and with any device equipped with internet connection, with the peace of mind of a system capable of protecting against cyber threats.
