Day of sadness for the children of the 18th arrondissement. The merry-go-round on Place de Torcy, very close to the market; of the Olive, has been destroyed by flames on the night of Tuesday at Wednesday. “We have been called to 2:06 a.m., indicates the Paris fire brigade (BSPP). The 60 m² was fully ablaze.” It took the six firefighters dispatched to the scene an hour to put out the fire.

“The merry-go-round has always been severe; and the kids in the neighborhood loved it,” said the town hall of the 18th arrondissement. The cause of the fire was unknown at this time.
