President Duque has just published on his Twitter account, thus confirming what was suspected weeks ago, versions that pointed out that the former paramilitary was dead.
According to the president, the former paramilitary died in the middle of a police operation.
The president’s announcement confirms the versions of his death, although it shows that he was discharged in an official operation, but, let us remember that his whereabouts were not known, after the escape from La Picota prison, last March 18, the defense of Juan Larinson Castro had already pointed out the possibility that he had been assassinated, however, it was presumed that those responsible would be other armed groups that wanted to prevent “< b>Matamba” would give them away.

As determined by the Prosecutor’s Office, the escape occurred around midnight on March 18, at which time Juan Larinson Castro is seen dressed as an INPEC guard, leaving cell 58of the jail’s extradition pavilion The Pillory. The authorities will have to really determine what happened that early morning in March, since Angélica Martínez, Juan Larinson Castro’s lawyer , presented some petition rights assuring that the person who escaped that day was not “Matamba”, and that it made no sense for him to escape since his client was about to reach an agreement with the US justice system, where he would reveal several details, crimes and those responsible for the crimes he is accused of, among others that he would confess.
This is why the attempt to prevent them from knowing each other is suspected his versions of the events, so it was presumed that the “disappearance” had been forged inside La Picota and he would have been murdered right there, but, with the confirmation of his death by the authorities would call these assumptions into question.
