his first shutout since 2014, allowing seven scattered singles in his work, as the Texas Rangers shut out the Houston Astros 3-0 on Friday, who had a nine-game home winning streak snapped.
It was the first complete-game shutout by a Texas pitcher since Kyle Gibson beat him. 1-0 to the Astros themselves, on September 16, 2020.
Venezuelan Pérez (3-2) shared the score. five strikeouts, delivered a ticket and made 108 pitches. The 31-year-old southpaw won. his third straight start and he has a 1.64 ERA in eight starts this season.

Perez hadn’t had a shutout since April 23, 2014, when he didn’t allow a shutout. Oakland race. passed his first seven seasons with Texas and played then with Minnesota and Boston.
This year, he returned to to the Rangers.
Pérez withdrew 12 of his first 14 rivals, before the Dominican Jeremy Peña got the first hit for Houston, in the fifth inning, with a single with two outs.
The Dominican Cristian Javier (2- 2) accepted one run and three hits to take the loss.
