Raphy Pina, Puerto Rican producer of urban music and manager of singer Daddy Yankee, was sentenced this Tuesday to 41 months in prison for illegal possession of firearms. (Photo: EFE).
Raphy Pina was admitted to the medical unit of the Metropolitan Detention Center, in Guaynabo, for having “very uncontrolled sugar,” reported the doctor. The Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Día.
The transfer to this area of the federal prison would have occurred on Tuesday moments after he was admitted to serve a sentenced to three years and five months for the illegal possession of firearms, which he kept on his property in Caguas.

Before turning himself in on Tuesday afternoon in federal court for the start of his sentence, Pina Nieves expressed: that, among other things, he had said goodbye to her daughter Vida Isabelle, ate & oacute; a sandwich and ate “the sugar pills”.
