Cecilia Suárez, mother of the Santanderean, described her son as an “honorable” man, who she believes could reach the House of Nariño in the coming days

On June 19, Colombians will have to decide at the polls who will be their next president, Gustavo Petro or Rodolfo Hernández. For this reason, just two weeks before the presidential elections, Cecilia Suárez, the mother of the candidate for the League of Anticorruption Leaders, revealed some details of her son’s life, his character and what he thinks of his work in politics and that, possibly, he will become the first president of Colombia.
In dialogue with the magazine Semana, Rodolfo Hernández’s mother described the candidate for the presidency of Colombia today as “very studious and intelligent” and “ obedient”, and assured that, although he has the genius of a good Santanderean, he is an “honorable” person he hopes he can reach the Casa de Nariño and change the country.
“Well, God willing, I hope he’s the president,” the 97-year-old woman told the same outlet, adding that when her son told her he wanted to run for president of Colombia, she told him: “Was it rigged? Although Mrs. Cecilia assured the Bogota magazine that the candidate for the House of Nariño did not hit anyone else on any other occasion, she confessed that, if her son becomes the President of Colombia, she hopes that, in addition to continuing to be an “honorable” man, of “good character”.
“I am the mother and I ask God and the Virgin to be reliable, to be honorable, to handle herself well, to have a very good character, above all,” the mother of the current candidate for the League told Semana of Governors Anti-Corruption, adding that, if he reaches the House of Nariño, the Santanderean would also have to “change his way of being a little.”
Faced with the roadmap that she would like her son to take if he becomes president, the Santanderean told the Bogota publication that she hopes that Rodolfo will not only help the poorest towns and cities in Colombia, but also that < b>“do something for Piedecuesta”, the municipality where they were both born.
