An emergency was registered this Wednesday at the National Institute, after a protest with Molotov drums. A room ended up destroyed by the flames.

It all began when students left the campus towards Arturo Prat and San Diego streets, where they confronted personnel from the Carabineros Public Order Control. There the launch of incendiary elements took place.

Then, an emergency was activated, since smoke emanated from inside the institute, for which Firefighters and police officers they entered the educational compound.
Finally, the situation was controlled. Presumably, due to the action of an incendiary element, a room ended up consumed by flames.
For this reason, all the people who were inside the establishment were asked to leave.
This is not the first time that a situation of this type has occurred in the National Institute. In May of this year, there was a threat of fire in an inspectorate. Meanwhile, in August, hooded men were recorded setting fire to a roof.
