The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has been cautious on Wednesday about the Russian withdrawal from the capital of Kherson and its withdrawal in the north of the province, since Russia does not give “gifts” nor does it make “gestures of goodwill”.
“There is a lot of joy in the information space today, and it is clear why. But our emotions must always be restrained during war”,has stated in his usual nightly speech.
Russia announced on Wednesday its withdrawal from the Ukrainian city of Kherson, the only regional capital under its control in the entire country, as well as the withdrawal of the northern third of that province , which is a severe setback for Russian President Vladimir Putin, who annexed that territory a little over a month ago.

The Ukrainian leader has acknowledged that perhaps his words tonight about what happened today in Kherson don’t sound “like what nobody expects now”, or at least “like on the news”, but Ukrainians need to understand that “nobody goes anywhere if they don’t he feels strong”.

Zelensky calls for caution
For this reason, Zelensky has reminded the combatants that when they are fighting they must understand “that each step is always the resistance of the enemy, it is always the loss of the lives of our heroes”.
“That is why we move very carefully, without emotions, without unnecessary risks. For the sake of the liberation of all our land and that the losses are as small as possible. This is how we will ensure the liberation of Kherson, Kakhovka, Donetsk and our other cities”.
For Zelensky, the recovery of these territories will be due to his defense efforts and operations, which “are currently underway” and those that are still planning.
On the situation on the front, he has said that in the Donetsk region the confrontation is “very important”; because “a lot is being decided there”.
“That is why we are standing. We stay strong. We do not deliver anything. I thank each of our heroes who are stopping these terrible occupier attacks. Constant attacks”, he recounted.
As for the south, according to the president, the Ukrainian forces are “moving little by little”, strengthening their “positions step by step. by step”.
In his speech, Zelensky warned “once again” to the Moscow authorities that “any attempt” to blow up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power plant, flood the territory and leave the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant without water “will mean that it is declaring war on the whole world”.
